Workstations
This week we started switching kids for reading workstations. Here are some of the friends who have joined room 106!
Syncere
Matthew
Betsabee
Ania
David
Henry
Garrette
Denise
We also added a few new workstations jobs:
Alphafriend match
We started with just capital letters this week but will add lowercase letters next week for those who are ready!
Listening Station
After a few problems with my CD player, we are now using a tape player!! :-) I'm hoping I can eventually find a durable CD player we can use!
Name Station
At name station the kids can trace their name using a dry erase marker. Each student also has a baggy
This is a new favorite! They need to sort out the bugs using little tongs into the color tin.
We just changed rainbow write this week from doing their name to doing the ABC's!
The kids can sort pictures of good choices and bad choice or match letters: capital to capital or capital to lowercase.
International Literacy Day
In honor of International Literacy Day, Ali's mom came into our classroom and read us a story. She read it to us in both Arabic and English. She did a great job reading. We were all proud of her, especially Ali!
