Days of December

I hope you're all having a great Christmas Break!  It's already gone by so fast! :-)  Here are some of the things we did in December!

People and Celebrations
We learned about different Holiday Celebrations around the world.  In our room we learned about the traditions in Germany.  Germany is where the tradition of decorating the Christmas tree came from, so we did a Christmas tree craft!  The kids also learned about holiday traditions in Russia, Holland, Kenya, Mexico, and Israel.

Peeling Party!
We have snacks every Monday and Thursday.  We had little cuties one day and so there was a peeling party around all the trashcans!

 Welcome Trystin!
Trystin started in our classroom in the beginning of December.

Fun in the Snow!
The kids who wore snow boots had fun playing in the field when is snowed this month!  With it being winter I just want to remind you that in order to play in the snow the kids must have snow boots, not fancy boots.  If you need help acquiring some please let me know!

Gingerbread Houses
We made gingerbread houses with our 5th grade buddies the last day before break.  The kids had a blast putting all the candy on their houses!

Enjoy your last few days at home!  I'll see you all back on the 6th!
